2025-Present

I first fell in love with Island Park as a young boy spending summers with my grandparents who lived there year round since 1973. As I grew into a teenager, as many of us do, i found myself finding interest in other hobbies that didn’t involve the outdoors as much. Luckily, in my early twenties, a cross country ski trip to Harriman Park reignited the passion for the outdoors that a had as a boy and i have never looked back. I started working in the outdoor sports retail world and eventually landed in the restaurant business for many years. The schedule allowed me to indulge in many outdoor activities that included mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing, cross country skiing, snowboarding and backcountry snowboarding. The last few years has had me volunteering for various multi use trail building organizations and that’s where i was honored to be asked to throw my hat into the ring to be considered on the board of this wonderful group. I look forward to helping preserve the amazing history of this park we all love and hope to contribute to helping others fall in love with Harriman State Park as well. I reside in Idaho Falls and make the trip to the park as often as i can, sharing the love of nature with my family.
