2023-Present

Amy Roberts was raised in Jackson, Wyoming and currently resides in Medina, Washington with

her husband, Jeff and two daughters, McKenzie and Marlee. Amy is a small business owner, an

artist and volunteer with many organizations in the Seattle area including Junior League, PTA,

Seattle Children’s Hospital Guild Association. Fortunate to have grown up in Jackson, WY,

where the Teton mountain range was always in her sight, Amy’s love for the outdoors wasn’t

something she discovered, but rather a love that has always been a part of her. Hobbies like fly

fishing, skiing, and hiking call on Amy to return often to the region she has known and loved for

so long.

Amy will say it was the display of patience of then boyfriend (now husband) in teaching her how

to fly fish that sealed the deal – a love for a river AND a love for the boy. Grateful for the many

summers of car camping on weekends while escaping the tourists and crowds at home in

Jackson, Amy found her solitude along the banks of the Henry’s Fork River. With that solitude

grew a love for a charismatic fishing culture, an appreciation for entomology and wildflowers as

well as a desire to preserve a unique and most beautiful watershed. The peace and tranquility

of the region she discovered long ago, can still be found today, nearly 30 years later.

Amy is grateful for the opportunity to join a community of friends who share the same belief in

the mission of the Friends of Harriman State Park - to preserve and enhance the gift of a natural

resource. For, if we all do a part, small or large, the sum of all the parts can be magnificent!
